On September 1, a draft law was posted on the Federal portal of draft normative legal acts, which, in particular, provides for the Introduction of criminal liability for obstructing the legal activities of a lawyer. According to Denis Puchkov, he fully supports the bill and, moreover, has repeatedly advocated for appropriate changes. The proposed amendments will definitely change the position of lawyers. So, in the legislation of a number of post-Soviet countries, there is criminal liability for interference in the activities of a representative or defender, but in Russia, lawyers are outside the justice system, he said.
